  The Rose of Life

You are the rose in my life.
The Rose of Sharon, blooming forth;
Engulfing all darkness,
Shedding light to all.

You were born a small rose bud,
Just as humans are.
You bloomed into a man,
To lead the way for all.
You died, as a rose would die,
At the hands of the people you came to save.

You rose again!
You are alive!
You always were.
We may not be able to see you.
Yet, your spirit encompasses all who believe in you.
