A SINNER SUCH AS ME
by Karen Carey

Standing before the alter,
the sinner that I am.
Knowing very well
I must give my life to Him.

As I hesitate and ponder if I'm ready for this move,  His Glorious Love and
Mercy tells me to walk through.

But Lord what about,
all the things that's gone on?
All the pain that I have caused,
and the damage that's been done?

How can you forgive, a sinner such as me,
Wash away all the transgressions,
that I have committed against thee?

"You must realize my child
that there is nothing you have done,
that the blood of my Son Jesus
hasn't already won".

It was then that I was reminded,
of the blood that was shed for me,
the day Jesus went up,
and hung on Calvary.

On that old rugged cross,
that bore the blood for all,
for He knew in advance
that He would take the fall.

But His love for us was great.
Greater than the pain.
Greater than the agony,
the torture, the disdain.

So Father as I stand here,
I give my life to you,
I offer up my heart,
for you to make brand new.

Take that old man,
and bury him deep,
bring to me the truth of Christ,
the knowledge that I seek.

Mold me after your image,
form me as you do clay,
help me to grow strong in
your word so never will I stray.

Father, I thank you Lord,
for the Grace you've offered me,
and I know now that I will walk with you,
for all eternity.

Home Bound

Resting in the arms of Jesus

Sweeter slumber never known

Safe, secure, in him I?m trusting

In his presence I am home.

Still tomorrow and another

Forward I am marching on

To the call of distant drummer

Marching forward marching home.

Tired and weary from my travels

Promised I am not alone

Strength, endurance, for the journey

Till he calls me home.
