I wrote this poem years ago in the early 50s. I am now 68 and am into full time gospel Lyric writing I find these old verses to be interesting.
October
October's early morning light
Birds are out for early flight
In the valley deep below
A morning mist a golden glow
Wild flowers open up your eyes
In time to see a new sunrise
What beauty nature paints to view
The hand of God a picture drew
I can smell October near
Wild grapes and mellow pear
Heavy dew hangs on the grass
Cool breezes fill the air
A sense of calm came over me
As I sat beneath the willow tree
I knew I could safely say
God blessed this October day.

I wrote this in the 50s, one of many. I now write Christian Lyrics and love praising God with music. I am 68 years old and have a loving family with many grandkids. Bless you all.
