A Father's Advice
by Bruce C. Murray
When Life's little changes get you down
and you're feeling quite angry and mad
and the people around you are vile and cruel
Just take some advice from your dad.
Stop at once and say to yourself
I know I can rise above all.
I am better than anger which plays me the fool
and its pain that will lead me to fall.
Carry yourself with your head held high
as you face your problems anew.
And prove to yourself that there's no one on earth
that's worth more than the value of you.
So remember the advice a father once gave
to the daughter who was greatly in need.
For there's no better gift that you could receive
than the wisdom that helps you succeed.
